It was not a good season for us, but anyway I would like to thank all of the riders for their work and engagement - said Simon de Montfort on the press conference where he summed up the recent 90 days of racing.
Few days ago - he continued - I have took part in a cycling amateur race myself and on a 50km course I have finished dead last. But I am very pleased that I participated in that race, cause it helped me understand what do riders feel when they are trying their best, yet they find themselves at the back of the peloton. So I hope this experience will let me find a way to better motivate my riders and this gives me hope that our next season will be much better.
Now as usual few words about the riders who scored points.
Orlando Kacciavurian - 492pts
11 times in top 9 but only 1 result plus failed to get into top 9 GC in Volta Valparaiso. Definitely dissapointing season, especially when compated to previous one which ended with the best Dher award. But still the best scoring rider in the team.
Julian Cichocki - 408pts
First ever full season without any results which is a major dissapointment. He was 4th 3 times so one could argue he was a bit unlucky, but still it is way under expectations.
Bernard Kozak - 140pts
He was given a captain role twice and finished 2nd and 9th. Considering poor performance of Julian, Bernard will surely be given more opportunities to lea the team next season.
Floriano Moutinho - 120pts
He was 4th and 6th in two races which he used to win previously, so a big shame he didnt manage to get at least one result out of this. We are now training a sprinter who will hopefully help Floriano in final years of his career and then take over the captains role in SP races.
Jurre Bekkers - 120pts
Jurre is now 27yo so high time for him to start getting some results. 3rd place in Climbs of Pinchor was his first visit on podium and he will be given more chances next season.
Jorg Mayer - 60pts
On paper he looks very strong but so far we didnt see this in his results. Maybe he lacks confidence? He should have a few occasions next season to grab his first result and we really hope he can do it.
Gustaw Banas - 4pts
This rider has everything to become a big star and we have high expectations towards his career. He is a great tour rider and we hope he can win some jerseys for our team. Watch out for him!!!

@Lokomitiva - yes, I think Banas is well suited for Volta ao Porto, so he will fight for YC there.
@Seidel - yeah, this is just what I am doing, all for fun! Being competetive is boring ;-)
I meant in RL Simon and what I meant was just have fun with riding. :-)
Bana? looks very good. Maybe some YC jersey might be the goal for the next season? ;)
In OCM - sure, I am not worried about dropping down. But if you speak about my performance in the real life cycling race - then there is no hope in next seasons :-) I know I will never be able to compete, I dont have time for regular training. But I am happy to go for a race from time to time and simply have a bit of fun, even if it means I am dropped after 15kms :-)
Lanterne rouge is not that bad Simon, anyway there is allways next season...
